Fundraisers
Since August, 2008, we have raised over $10,000 in fundraisers and donations on behalf of Bob and Lisa.
Our first fundraiser was a huge success. In August, 2008, we sponsored a Dinner and Comedy show at a local restaurant headlined by Kivi Rogers. 60 friends and family members attended and a great time was had by all.
Our next fundraiser was a community yard sale in October, 2008. Friends and family donated many items for the event which was held on a Saturday and Sunday. Again, this was a success. Thank you to Grandma, Auntie and Uncle for all of your hard work.
Next in line was a car wash fundraiser held in Kingman, AZ, also in October, 2008. It was yet another big success. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for all your hard work in organizing this fundraiser. Thanks also goes out to the local church and it's volunteers - you guys were a huge help. And thanks to Taco Bell for the use of their parking lot and water!
Our second community yard sale was held on July 11 and 18, 2009 and was another huge success.
On August 29, 2009 we hosted a Hawaiian Luau Dinner at the Bridgeport Clubhouse in Valencia, CA featuring a Hawaiian-themed, buffet-style dinner prepared by Chef Terry Campbell and his staff, and performances by the beautiful Hawaiian Halau Dance Troupe and the awesome classic rock covers band, Beale's Cut. A special thanks also goes out to DJ Alex Morales as the event emcee.
Future fundraisers are in the planning stages and will include more events featuring food and entertainment at local parks, etc.
